Good luck. Best bet is to use CrashPlan and a friend’s computer.

I’ve used http://www.backupthat.com for a while and I’ve been able to back up 500GB for free. they say unlimited, but there is no way to test the idea of infinite storage. Still, over 500GB is good, and very doable.

Here is a service that offers free trials i.e. Virtual Drive. Try this one time, and if you get satisfied with that get one. I think this is more better than free services. Because you don’t whether you will get satisfied or not. But with free trials, you can be sure the effectiveness.
Virtual Drive has broad features, top-quality products and services that are designed for real users, not freebies;
Saving users an average of 90% from other services, Virtual Drive provides all Remote File Servers, FTP / Email Servers, Offsite Backups, Hosting & more!
Virtual Drive is easy and requires no change or training; e.g: you can use Microsoft Office without changing for web-based spreadsheets, etc.
Virtual Drive delivers better service than in-house solution, e.g.: Remote File Server can be accessed from multiple locations; you can share files and collaborate with remote employees or clients; Offsite Backup can survive major disasters and is more secure / reliable than any local backup.
Virtual Drive has lots of premium users, they have powered many small and big enterprises. They have a solid profit model and they don’t rely on VC money. In today’s economy, that is peace of mind. Don’t put your data at risk! Use Virtual Drive to securely store your most important data!
They offer 50GB free storage space, no ads, faster download/upload speed than any other, all your files are encrypted, there’s no max upload limit per file and they take your privacy very seriously.
It’s not 500GB, but it meets all your other requirements.
reminds me of how email and google drive work
