  13. Online movies and the movies found on the BitTorrent Network are illegal or known as pirated.

Pirated movies are of low Quality, does not provide extra functions like the DVD’s we buy from the market.

Also if caught downloading pirated movies or storing it in any kind can lead to fine and imprisonment.

Many companies have started anti-piracy campaigns.

So, its better to stay away from the pirated movies and BUY ORIGINAL.

    Because:

Downloading Movie, Music And Other Illegal Files Can Cause:
-Infections That Slow, Corrupt and/or Damage Computer.
-Infections That Collect Personal Info About Yourself.
-Some Peer To Peer Programs (like LimeWire and FrostWire) including Torrents Can Contain Infections.
-Putting yourself at risk of being jailed.

Based on what I said above, with Illegal Files you have a high chance of someone getting at your personal info and/or infecting your computer.
As for jail time fortunately only on occasion people go there for piracy or stealing media files. Right now piracy is a high volume problem, I’m assuming thats why.

Keep It Legal And Your Computer Will Be Happy And Healthy. Keep It Legal And Your A Good Citizen, rather than a pirate.

Buy a music GiftCard if you don’t want to spend too much on music.

as for movies, just buy them at Walmart or where ever cheap skates buy them legally.

*depends on the source of where your downloading legal stuff. Digital Rights Management or DRM is slowly being pulled out by some companys, so it depends on the download source.
    Amazon doesn’t have Drm: http://amazon.com/mp3
*There are probably tons of other companies that are ditching Drm.
*Did I mention that downloading from legal sources is faster.
*As nice as OvGuide is, it does have some illegal sites on it. Yes there are some legal ones, but take caution when entering that site.

  15. Good question.
If you buy something, it has DRM.
DRM can be unpredictable, and can mean that it might expire, or become downright unusable after the DRM updates or similar.
There was an excellent point about this in xkcd.
    I’ll link you to it.

That comic about sums it up.

    My view is this:
I’m going to use games as an example here, as I’m a proud game(pirate)r.
If you buy a game, it’ll be chock full of DRM. (Unless it’s a Stardock game, in which case you should buy it)
DRM gas the tendency to install hidden drivers, and insist on connecting to the internet just to see if you’ve still got a legal version.
If you pirate a game, however, you can be confident that it’s going to work, and that it’s going to continue to work, without hidden drivers, without the compulsory internet connection, without expiry.
There is no point in buying something if you can get something for free that will work better anyway.
I’d like to dedicate this answer to the ongoing hate of DRM.
    F*ck you, DRM.
