speaking of the topic of weather or not it was necessary for Facebook to make a proprietary app just for chat and messaging: i think they did this so that, as he said, its “lightweight” so it doesn’t hog up the ram, which in turn makes it easier to run in the background and not slow down your phone with the entire Facebook app. just my two cents.
