More likely your teen was prompted to install a fake codec or a fake flash update in order to watch the movie. It’s a very old trick and if you or your teen get that again in similar circumstance then use Alt+F4 to close the browser without clicking on any of the buttons.
Even if the webpage changed to a fake webpage showing a fake scan and ‘infected results’, again use Alt+F4 to close the browser and again avoid clicking on any of the buttons.
