My wife hasn’t put it down since i got it for her. It’s not much of an upgrade but that backlight really makes all the difference in the world for night reading.

To be honest only one company has ever given me anything 😀 Everything else on my channel I purchased with my own money. I really enjoy doing it and consider it more of a hobby then a living but it would cool to grow big enough that companies would supply me on the regular for more reviews, etc.

Do you get any of these hardware items for free via Manufacturers for Reviews? That’s really Cool. I wanna do that for the Software of the Windows OS Platform, I am currently buying most of my apps.

careful on that upgrade, you will gain performance on standard desktop use. But for gaming you will lose some performance. I would wait for them to work the bugs out. Thats what I’m waiting on.

Btw you were talking about Windows 8 in some video, I bought it, got discount with my laptop. And I’m happy with it. Really it’s just snappier Windows 7 in desktop use. Of course you don’t have start menu but what ever, I actually didn’t use it any other way than to shut computer down… Now you just bring mouse to corner and in there you can shutdown in seconds. It’s not rocket science. People just don’t want things to change.

It’s actually pretty cool but its not 100% better then the old one since you no longer have the text to speech stuff and no speakers or headphone jack which is kind of lame. But otherwise for an eReader it’s pretty epic.

Just thought I’d warn you, I wouldn’t buy the surface yet. Referring to one of my older comments saying “Buy windows 8 and get a surface”. Well I bought a surface and installed Windows 8 on my laptop. Now Windows 8 is great but the Surface is really slow and buggy at the moment. Could possibly get some updates in the future, anyhow I am returning my surface for a refund today.
Thought I’d let you know @barnacules before you waste your money on a product that still needs refining.
