  1. Adfly=EVERY time you click a adf.ly link, a SPAMMER gets paid @ Pay per Click scheme

MEDIAFIRE=Loaded with malicious downloads and Illegal content

So, What’s your question ??? We are NOT going to tell you how to download illegal content………..

  2. Neither of the websites is illegal.

Adfly is a commercial website where, as someone has already explained here, the person who redirects users to it gets money per click. That’s why these people post all kinds of stuff that others need so they will actually click this adfly link trying to get their games/music/movies (and if you noticed, a lot of the times you don’t get what you’re looking for, someone is just trying to trick you into clicking on the adfly link to get money from your click). Sometimes those people do post some actual stuff that you’re looking for through the adfly links, that happens when they want you to come back for more stuff and click again and again. So it really is not the adfly website that’s malicious, but the people who post these adfly links. And one more problem here, as I already said, just to get money from your click those people need to post something everyone wants, and in most cases it turns out to be copyrighted material (and downloading it is piracy). Those people who want to earn money on clicks through adfly could post their private photos that they have all the rights to for example – and there’s no piracy here, but clearly no one is going to download that and no one is going to click the adfly links. So, it’s not the adfly that’s a pirate, but people using it for profit.

MediaFire is a completely legitimate cloud storage website where you can store all your personal photos, documents, videos etc etc (50 gigs for free – not bad, huh) and share them with your friends and family. But again, there are people who use it for malicious purposes. Since MediaFire makes it easy to share files (which is originally intended for private sharing, not public sharing on forums), those people who want to make money on adfly just use MediaFire to post links to the above mentioned copyrighted stuff just to get attention and, as a result, clicks.

Conclusion: both sites are legal, but there is a whole bunch of people who want to make money on you. There is nothing wrong with your internet provider either as it has been suggested here, downloading stuff through adfly is 99% guaranteed to be piracy. Just stay away from that…

  3. No, neither of those services is illegal.

Adfly allows users to make money by showing ads to anyone who clicks the link.
Mediafire is a cloud storage service which allows users to upload files and then download files. These files could be anything, legal or illegal (though Mediafire is quite strict when it comes to taking down these when detected).
Many people use these sites and while they can be used to distribute illegal files, the premise behind Mediafire and Adfly are safe.

Were the mods and texture packs downloaded as torrents? Since torrents are usually used to distribute copyrighted material, Comcast might’ve overlooked the files themselves.
