  1. It is a sad story, I agree. Yes it can be a sad story, it can be any story anyone wants, so long as they are the author.
While I don’t have anything to say about gender, not anymore than what I already did, I will say have a valid, though foreign to me, point regarding capitol punishment, I find it much more plausible that people, in general, don’t like sad stories than people don’t like stories where the protagonist is a woman.

  2. As far as I can tell from the research I’ve done, the sparkling thing is exclusive to SM’s vampires. If you can get ahold of some form of proof then I’m willing to retract my point. Until then I stick by it. And then even if she did borrow the idea, it just further supports my point she shouldn’t be bashed for having sparkling vampires. She also shouldn’t be bashed for using the idea either (Otherwise one could argue all vampire works are rip offs of whatever the first vampire work was)

  3. So was the man at the start a dragon hunter or a dragon protector? The old man called her a “lone hunter” so I’m guessing he presumed that based on the fact that she’s looking for a dragon and just killed a dragon protector. Also the symbol was the tree outside the cave so that feels more like he was protecting that cave. If that’s the case then this is even more sad…but morally speaking she went into a dragon’s cave and killed it – whether it was Scales or not doesn’t make that any less evil.

  4. Actually the idea vampires sparkle I believe was ripped off another vampire author, someone wrote a book about vampires and they said the idea belonged to some other author. I could be totally wrong but that’s what someone’s book told me.

  5. Fuck I cried.

  6. I can make fun of the actual thing but making fun of the fans is too harsh.

  7. how long you did it?

  8. This makes me really sad :'(

  9. that would be the only way i could figure it out. Sounds like a general premise as well. It’s been used before. When done well it can be very thought provoking

  10. So, Stephanie Meyer happened to want to stray from the typical vampire stereotype. There is NOTHING wrong with that. If you don’t like her version of vampire, that is fine. But don’t bash it because *gasp* somebody DARED put their own spin on a MYTHICAL creature. Vampires are fictional, and she is allowed to make her own version of them unique. Nobody should ever be bashed because they dared get a bit creative.

  11. awesome film and great soundtrack.

  12. No matter how many times I watch this, it never gets old. 🙂 Thumbs up if you agree.

  13. Precioso, triste, pero precioso. Lloro cual bebé 🙁 (L)

  14. Dafaq? Nice way to misinterpret retard o.O

  15. oh shush, are you really going to argue over this? I don’t care for the series at all, but the way you are lashing out at it shows how much attention you give it. I have my claims, but have you even seen the movie or read the book? don’t make accusations without experiences. opinions have absolutely nothing to do with IQ, showing yours pretty damn well. (btw, diary of a wimpy kid, hunger games, and others went through many ages as well, idiot. that doesn’t even help your claim.)

  16. yeah, like myself, I think it is a cheesy ball of smashed up keyboards, but some of my best friends like twilight. don’t insult the readers or movie-watchers just because they disagree with you on an opinion matter.

  17. well how would you feel if a stranger with a spear in hand was snooping around your child? sure scales recognized Sintel but animals are very protective of their young, plus they haven’t seen each other in years if not decades

  18. Not to mention she was carrying the spear of thae man who attacked her.
Given what the shaman says about it being a dangerous quest, it’s likely the natives and the dragons don’t exactly get along, and Scales associated the spear with dragon hunters / soldiers.

  19. Amazing video…. almost crying…. so depressing…

  20. Scales attaced her, because she? did not recognise her after all this time and wanted to protect her own child, just like Sintel ones wanted to protect her.
Scales recognized Sintel just in time, but Sintel recognized her just to late. So Scales was mortally wounded by mistake. Seeing the infinite sorrow in Sentinels eys that came with the late recognition Scales probably forgave her even when dieing and so told her own child to follow her for protection.
This way it does make sense.

  21. Easily one of my most favourite and touching Youtube animations so far.
