8th movie:Saving Mr. Banks with Emma Thompson ang Tom Hanks
Dan Tee May 3, 2014
Emma Thompson deserved a nomination for her performance, she stole every
scene

The tears

I honestly didn’t think i’d expect much from this but i was surprised.
Great film.

tom hanks look like Hitler in this movie lol
sageyash May 4, 2014
Gotta love how they spoil the movie in the trailer.

I want a movie depicting Walt Disney from his conception and creation of
Disney all the way to his death. And make the tone dark and serious rather
than light and funny.
19grinNbearit81 May 4, 2014
For such a good film, it’s a shame the trailer ended on such a lame joke
about the “wager on the ride” – probably the only cliché scene and hardly
representational of the tone of the movie as a whole.

Saving Mr.Banks is such a sad story, I saw it and cried because it’s sad
but it is AMAZING!!! If you haven’t seen it yet theme go see if anyone you
know has it or buy it, then curl up with a box of tissues and watch the
most beautifully written movie!!! :-)
Christian Smithroat May 4, 2014
Is this the sequel to Saving Private Ryan?
h193013 May 4, 2014
Don’t get me wrong, I love Disney’s Mary Poppins, but would anyone like to
see a non-musical remake of Mary Poppins closer to the original books by
P.L. Travers
Jake Smith May 4, 2014
Wasn’t Walt Disney an antisemitic, racist, misogynist?
Maggie Curl May 4, 2014
In in love with this!
I think they did a really great job!!
NoName NoFame May 4, 2014
Looking at Tom Hanks playing Walt Disney, I must say that it’s the first
time where the original person looks more like a movie star than the movie
star playing him.
Among other things Walt Disney was one handsome dude – he looked fabulous
with his moustache, whereas Tom Hanks just looks like a beady eyed Nazi,
like someone already mentioned… lol
Tony parra May 4, 2014
There should be a movie about Walt Disney working with AA Milne on Winnie
the Pooh.
zacthecatty35 May 4, 2014
The trailer does not do justice to the pathos of the performances. Both
Thompson and Hanks give brilliant performances, as expected.
Lewis Breakwell May 4, 2014
Can someone please tell me why this wasn’t even nominated for best
picture?!
Nicolas Cage May 4, 2014
I feel like I want to vomit after saying this trailer.
monikavec May 4, 2014
I just finished and let me say… I don’t cry easily. But this movie
reminded me of so many things and past moments from my own life that it was
really hard not to. Brilliant.
Logan Servatius May 4, 2014
Wow imagine going to Disney land with Walt Disney himself 😀 I wish i had a
time machine! Walt Disney is my idol! <3 Walt Disney
Kim Henriksson May 4, 2014
As people said, I aswell thought this would be happy ponyride through
fantasyland.
But my god is this movie sad
Rania Ahmad May 4, 2014
great movie :)
Revenger373 May 4, 2014
so, this movie tells the story behind the story of the story of marry
poppins?
Greg Lites May 4, 2014
After seeing this movie I had to come here and ask a rhetorical question –
How great was Walt Disney
Judith Briles May 4, 2014
Movie treat-“Saving Mr. Banks”: it’s an old-fashioned drama about Walt
Disney’s (Tom Hanks) attempt to persuade “cranky dame” P.L. Travers (Emma
Thompson) to let him adapt her “Mary Poppins.” It’s complex- clueless as to
what the Oscar snub nomination was all about. Both Thompson and Hanks were
terrific.
Not having profanity, nudity and violence may put some into shell-shock; we
found the storyline terrific– feelings/emotions pulled in a variety of
directions about what the character/actors were about. We loved it and
recommend highly.
