  2. iPad mini is great because it is the same thing with a smaller screen. It still has a high resolution and isn’t that expensive.

What I always recommend is the iPad 2. They are still being sold new and have almost all of the features as the new iPad’s have except for the retina display. The processor might be a bit slower but none of it is noticeable. It is also a lot cheaper. (But resolution isn’t as good. Although it is plenty good unless you are very picky about that).

If you have extra money or like the high resolution and a bit quicker speeds the new iPad’s offer then you can get one but there will be quite more expensive.

In the end I usually find that what the new iPad’s offer are things not important to most people I talk to and they go with the iPad 2. I have a 2 myself and there is no sign of slowness.

  3. Well Betty,

If it’s playing games, there a lot of them for the iPad some free and some not.
If it’s playing video files like on YouTube it’s good for that, It’s good for most online videos’, but not so good for Flash games as Apple cant support Adobe flash player.

If you want it for playing MP3 music files it’s good for that to. If you are connected to the internet you can store filed on the cloud in your iPad account.
You get 5 gigabits for free, any more and you have to get the money out.

I have the iPad 2 32 GB the second generation model. I use the iPad when I switch this laptop off.
There is one thing I would not do and that is fork out all that cash getting the new model of the iPad as I think it’s not worth the money.

As for the iPad that I have, I find it runs very smooth and fast, quick to boot. The touch screen is very high quality and nice to use.
The iPad is first rate for sitting on the sofa surfing the net. The iPad is by far better than the android tablets’

The sound quality from the on board speaker is not to bad and is quit loud. If you use head phones the sound is relay quite good.
The iPad has a good quality microphone for programme like Skype http://www.skype.com/en/download-skype/skype-for-computer/ and online audio chat.

As for setting up your E-mail account, if you have your E-mail address and password it’s a doddle (easy)

    Now the Bad things.

There is no SD card slot and you cant use a USB flash drive (as above) Apple cant support Adobe flash player.
