  1. 1. If you can keep it open (using Hibernate instead of Shutdown Computer), it will work longer.
    2. There is a Student version of Microsoft Office.
    3. If you’re on tighter budget, try OpenOffice.org. It looks like MS Office and it is free.

  2. Microsoft Office 2010 is available FREE with no strings attached. No key to enter, nothing.

Anybody can use it completely legal.

Microsoft has made Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Onenote available in the Cloud.

You do NOT install the program on your computer. You log on to Windows Live with your Windows Live ID or HOTMAIL ID and go to the Office section.

All documents are stored in your account on Skydrive. You can upload and download documents to/from Skydrive.

Another option is to download and install a program called OPEN OFFICE. It is free and very similar to Microsoft Office.
