  1. Thanks for letting me know. In Canada, the ISPs create their own Antivirus Programs and just use either the Avast or Bitdefender engines and databases and pay a fee to the company. Speaking of which, it could be interesting to see how one of the Canadian ISP Antivirus Programs work. I’ll add it to the queue. Thanks for the comment!

  2. he gets it from the isp; its comcast xfinity.

    just so you know

  3. In a small to medium business environment, we would recommend the following solution:
    Malwarebytes Pro &
    Avast Endpoint Protection Plus
    OR
    Malwarebytes Pro &
    ESET Endpoint Security
If you need any more information, please let us know. Thanks for the comment!

  4. MyTech:
Can I ask your opinion, which you would have to choose AV and Anti-malware software (yes for business). What you you choose: Webwoot anywhere, Malwarebyte Pro, Symantec End point, Trend, Panda, Hitman, Kaspersky etc?

  5. Well, to be fair, as stated by meep140, the web filter was doing most of the work here. We didn’t actually get to see the file guard in action so we can’t base a score on the antivirus program as a whole, but still, my videos are mainly testing prevention levels of how well an antivirus can stop threats from infecting the computer. Thanks for the comment!

  6. MyITtech. Looks like you all found a diamond in the ruff with this program.

  7. Sure. I’ve added the request to the video queue and the estimated upload date is April 27, 2013. Sorry for the delay, there are a lot of other requests before yours.
You can view all of the other requests on the new video schedule here:

  8. I just scanned the HP file through VirusTotal and the results came back negative with a 0/43 detection ratio. You can have a look at the report here:
bit. ly/HP_FileResult (remove the space). Thanks for the comment!

  9. Have a look at this support article to see if any of the listed issues match the one you’re having: bit. ly/Pandacloud_install (remove the space in the link). Thanks for the comment!

  10. That’s a fair point. Thanks for the comment ! 🙂

  11. +1 to that. If you get Norton 360 for free from your ISP, then it’s between Norton 360 and Avast (Free/Pro/Internet Security/Premier). Avast is lighter than Norton 360, and the free version is sufficient, so I would have to recommend Avast Free. Thanks for the comment!

  12. test the unthreat antivirus free

  13. Norton 360(if you get it free as you said) or Avast(absolut free). If you don’t have much ram memory, Webroot is proper for you because it is the lightest antivirus i ever seen.

  14. the hp thing was malware, u should hav uploaded it to virustotal

  15. when i tried to install panda free on windows xp, the installer disappears or terminates suddenly and i can’t install it.

  16. Get Avast! Free. I use it on both my laptop and my PC. I also put it on all of my clients laptops/PCs. I’ve never had a problem with it. Hope I helped!

  17. Hi. I am getting a new Windows 7 laptop and I don’t have an antivirus yet. I was thinking about AVG, Kaspersky, Avast, Webroot, or Norton 360 (which I get free from my internet provider). Which one would do you think would be the best? Also, which one would wouldn’t slow down my laptop very much?

  18. I say as a rule if a web filter blocks half or more of the links, that you get a couple more links and the rest you haven’t tried, bundle them together, and then turn off the web filter and go to them to test the actual capabilities of the real antivirus section as opposed to letting the filter do all of the work, because then the full capabilities of the antivirus are effective rendered null and void by the filter blocking everything and altering the final results. Just saying.
