Why would anyone go to the trouble and expense (it’s VERY expensive) of producing a CD if they couldn’t make money from it?

Crazy as it may seem to all of you. This is actually a thing, kind of how seeqpod use to catalog pretty much every song ever off of websites all over the internet and make it possible to set up playlists of these songs…crazy I know. I used to use this for my radio show because some callers liked really obscure things that I didn’t have time to find in our massive disorganized vinyl collection.
…Anyways, I know what site this guy is asking about…but I’d prefer not to see it shut down, especially since all of you are going on about “illegal”, so yeah, it exists. “Word of mouth” it I suppose.
