  1. here install that it is free and it updates / scans computer every week
yeah and also it is free http://www.free-av.com/

  2. the best way to prevent viruses is to build up ur immune system. fastest way is to go into a public bathroom and start licking everything, lick the toilet seat, rub ur junk on the urinal, etc. never wash ur hands or shower. u will get a rely strong immune system and u will never get sick ever again.

  3. well i don`t use any anti virus software, try to install “roll back rx”,my system is protected from those virus like “reader_s” or any system corrupted files cause by viruses, visit this site to know more http://www.rollbacksoftware.com

  4. If its an option, why not reformat. That will clear your comp for sure.

  5. Avoid bad sites.
Run basic AV software like AVG Free.
Back up data and drivers regularly (for easy re-install).
Format HD say twice a year.

I think another way is to partition HD and just have OS one one partition on it’s own. Then you can wipe that regularly and reload. Not sure exactly if that’s it.

  6. The only real way u can protect your system is disconnect it from the net…. coz.. virus and anitvirus… r the bread and butter … of a highly thriving industry…. i bet 70% of the new virus r created by those antivirus companies.. with a instant fix as well …. nd more over… hw ever smart the antivirus is.. der will always be someone smarter enough to bypass it.. so.. honest answer…. dont use pendrives… dont connect to net…. u r system would be a lot safer..

  7. Seriously, Windows is a steaming pile of bullplop.
Average home users should not be allowed to use this OS on the Internet.
In it’s ‘out-of-the-box’ condition, MS Windows bristles with security problems and bad configurations that average users are unaware of…that’s why it requires endless “updates”.
[Persistent MS “Policy” has put functionality & flexibility ahead of security]

    Switch to Linux.

  8. Antivirus software is used to prevent, detect, and remove malware, including computer viruses, worms, and trojan horses. Such programs may also prevent and remove adware, spyware, and other forms of malware.

A variety of strategies are typically employed. Signature-based detection involves searching for known malicious patterns in executable code. However, it is possible for a user to be infected with new malware in which no signature exists yet. To counter such so-called zero-day threats, heuristics can be used.

One type of heuristic approach, generic signatures, can identify new viruses or variants of existing viruses by looking for known malicious code (or slight variations of such code) in files. Some antivirus software can also predict what a file will do if opened/run by emulating it in a sandbox and analyzing what it does to see if it performs any malicious actions. If it does, this could mean the file is malicious.

  9. Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware PRO
    http://www.malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware PRO
    http://www.superantispyware.com/
    DeepFreeze
    http://www.faronics.com/html/deepfreeze.asp
Don’t know what security software you mean, takes months to update? I have Microsoft Security Essentials,Malwarebytes’ PRO and SUPERAntiSpyware Free edition/ They update around 4 times daily and if one detects anything and can’t delete, submit a sample and get results within 24 hours to take care of the issue. I go anywhere on the internet I want to go without worry. Do I run accross rogue sites,YES, but My security software lets me know and protects my computer. Now the software, DeepFreeze, works different. You need no security software. If the system gets attacks, simply restart computer and that’s that. Gone. When first installed, it takes a snapshot of the entire system, and when restarted, that’s what you get, the same snapshot it took the first time, every time. To make any changes it must first be disabled, make the changes and when enabled, it takes another snapshot to record the changes. You do have options, just do the research. You are correct, most security software is a joke, especially when you pay for it, not all,but most. Good luck with this and Happy hunting!

  10. Try to install security software that use cloud technology which allows the instant detection of unknown malware. These use behavior based detection methods, doesn’t need signature updates, are fast, accurate and easy to use.
Antivirus software that use the cloud -technology are: Panda Cloud Antivirus Free Edition and ClamAV:

Both antivirus software are free and offer very good protection.

You can also use them with Malwarebytes which is an advanced malware scanner and cleaner.
