  20. I would love for you ALL to read The Secret Room! It’s available at Amazon.com. I think this writer, Stefanie Oberhansley has the ability to make a plain story into a gut wrenching story! The second part of the mini series next month!!! THE SECRET ROOM is mystery/ paranormal and I can’t wait for the second part to be released!

  25. To connect the wifi, you need to go to the Home menu, then press the Menu button. There’s an option to turn the wireless on. You’ll need to select the network you want to connect to, and then enter the password if there is one.

Yes, you can play music. To get music to the device, connect it to the computer with a USB cable. Once it mounts, drag the mp3s to the Music folder on the Kindle. To play it, press Menu, then select Experimental and go down to Play MP3.

Borrowing books from the library depends upon whether your library offers this service. The most efficient tack here is to check their web site *(they may even have instructions) or call the library and ask. If they support it, they should also be able to send you a link to step by step instructions.

You can get tons of free ebooks. Anything published before 1923 is in the public domain and can be legally downloaded fro free. Go to gutenberg.org or manybooks.net and find a book that interests you. Download it in .mobi format. Connect the Kindle with the USB cable and copy the book into the Documents directory. When you eject the device, the book will show up. You can also find listings of free and cheap Kindle books from Amazon at http://www.ereaderiq.com/ – anything from Amazon can be downloaded wirelessly directly to the Kindle.

Hopefully this will help you to get some content so you can learn your way around.

  26. So to browse the web using your Kindle, you need to access a wi-fi hotspot first. You do this by going to your settings menu and look for wireless networks. If you have one at home you just log into that one. You might also have one at work or at places like a Starbucks.

Once you’ve connected once, it will auto-connect any time you are in that hotspot’s range again, assuming you have wireless turned on.

Yes, you can upload MP3s via a USB cable from your computer. But I’m here to tell you it’s a piss poor MP3 player. Even the cheapest MP3 player on the market will have far more functionality. But you can do it.
