  1. “Cahlibur”? I always called it “Ca-leeb-re”

  2. one question though, am i doing something wrong because on my kindle, it
isnt showing my artwork of the ebook on there. help please

  3. I got Calibre but when i tried to change the output from EPUB to MOBI a
pop-up came up saying that the ebook was DMRed. Is there any other way to
download the ebook? I downloaded it to my laptop from the library.

  4. thank you!!!

  5. Michael, thanks a lot for sharing this with us. My question is: I have
Dropbox with my non- DRM MOBI content on it. Could I install or use it on a
Kindle paperwhite? Also does the USB allow for an external drive in order
to copy MOBI files to the Kindle.I know you showed us how to accomplish
this from Caliber but I’d like to do it with Dropbox.
    Again, thank you so much.

  6. Dear Michael, my family (the grapevine inform me) has bought a Kindle
Paperwhite 3G e-reader for me for Christmas.

Your exposition “How to Load eBooks on Kindle Paperwhite” has been
    interesting, very clearly explanatory.

    And

    I thank you,

  7. try putting them into the ROOT of your device ( not in any folder ) then
safely removing the device… then reboot your kindle that should do it!

  8. I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong but I got my Kindle this morning
and when I put MOBI files straight into the documents folder on my Kindle
they won’t appear on my Kindle screen at all? What am I doing wrong >.<

  9. awesome. Glad you found it useful Avni!

  10. This video has been a great help!! Thank you sooo much

  11. not a problem Meandthemoon!

  12. Thank you! !

  13. oh i see. 🙂

  14. that was in reply to Dilitirio…sorry…I absolutely hate it when people
pronounce it Cali-brey….makes me want to shoot myself. The developer of
the App himself has told people it is pronounced Calibur, it is just the
British (correct) spelling of the word.

  15. ? sorry?

  16. no you’re wrong…and retarded

  17. regarding the quality of the pdf i’d say, select your sources. Most of the
pdf i find (ie Magazines, technical books etc) are TruePdf and are an exact
content (not image) of the actual product. Look on google for avaxhome or
pdfmagazine for high end quality pdf, they are sending the pdf quality you
    mention to obsolecence.

  18. Converting a PDF is a complete PIA. The conversion brings the PDF
formatting with it (page headers, footers, page numbers, etc).
Additionally, most PDF books are simply poor scans of the “real” book to
begin with (at least, they have been for the ones I’ve got the last several
years. EPUB is only marginally better than PDF. I only buy MOBI or Kindle
format now – and I raise a major stink if it turns out the MOBI was
obviously a PDF conversion . Unless you have to, I’d buy the form

  19. at times you can run into formatting issues but not always

  20. Does any change occurs to the book when you change the book format from
    epub to AZW3 or Mobi??

  21. When I got to Calibre’s tab “Device” it shows the pdf and the new MOBI
file, but on my Kindle it doesn’t show the file…

  22. You get get them from Project GutenBurg or Smashwords, most USA libraries
    also lend out kindle books

  23. Yes you can use Calibre on Linux, Mac & Windows.
