Getting Started With Amazon EC2

  1. You can launch and use your virtualized server with the desired configuration.
It’s very usefull for your site, application, game server and whatever other use you may think for a server.

  2. what is the amazon EC2 use for????

  3. Would be much better to start with a list of small steps, doing the steps, then summarise the steps.
    For example:
    sign in Amazon AWS,
    sign up for EC2,
create certificate and security key pairs,
    configure firewall,
    launch a free AMI,
    access the AMI,
    shutdown the AMI.

  4. Do they provide Exchange 2010 or VMWARE instances?

  5. What is EC2. What can I use it for?

  6. EC2 is far too confusing. I think I’m going to stick to Rackspace for now. 🙁 I was actually wanting to try something new, but I had no idea how complicated it would be to get this setup.

  7. Hello,
thankyou for a great video about amazon EC2. Although your video is very quik in teaching it shows some interesting points. For me, i learned what i needed to know…in a few minutes.

    Vince.

  8. In the middle it made me feel like I was talking on the phone with my ISP.

  9. what’s with the change in narrators?

  10. Last time I gave someone this information I got a violation report. So not from me.

  11. Have a look at NCH. ” Switch sound file converter “. Free for personal use.

  12. Super C and Any Video Converter are both free, LEGAL, and work very well.

  13. (1) What format are the Amazon Cloud files in?..
Without that information it’s impossible to suggest a specific converter.

    (2) How are you going to play the files in your car?
Burned to a CD or with an mp3 player?
How old is the CD player in your car?
CD players older than about 8 years will not recognize or play mp3 files.
They will only play files in wav format (audio CD).
If you or a friend have a CD compiled with mp3 tracks try that first.
If it doesn’t work you’ll know you’ll need to convert to wav to be able to play the tracks in the car.
The downside is that files in wav format are very large – on average only 19-20 tracks will fit on a 700 Mb / 80 minute CD-R.

    (3) Don’t be tempted to use a CD-RW (re-writable) disk – that won’t work either regardless of the format used. Only use a CD-R.

    (4) You can also Google for a converter yourself but be specific in the search term where ??? is the format you want to convert from and also use the quotation marks like so –
“freeware ??? to mp3 converter” or “freeware ??? to wav converter”
