Combat Arms is AWESOME,although the other players are pricks and if they’re not hackers themselves,kick u out over the suspicion of YOU being a hacker.but i assume that’s the case with most online games.

I can tell you one thing, stay far far away from Dell, that are by far the worst company, they have the all time worst tech support, all the other brands beat the Dell tech support. I have had nothing but bad experience with Dell, any of the other brands will do, but stay away from this one.
if you want an efficient PC, try to have a PC with a 80GB and up hard disk capacity, 512 MB to 1 GB memory card, and processor Pentium 4. At least a license windows XP will suffice your needs in photo editing. you can still use your present hard disk as a drive D: or slave hard disk
most mother boards now-adays are equiped with an onboard video card, sound card and sometimes even a LAN or Modem feature. just try to get the specs mentioned above so you wont eat up your memory resources
for branded PCs, go with IBM, HP and Dell.

Remember, Microsoft writes software. Hundreds of dealers put machines together on which they hope to run Windows. Compatibility is hit or miss. In my experience, Sony put together a great machine but Compaq stinks. Dell has sold out placing all their tech support in India. Now they will begin selling their machines in Walmart. You have to be real cheap to get in Walmart. First of all I’m in favor of the portability of laptops. Buy a locking cable for when it leaves the house and get a full-sized keyboard and mouse for when it’s IN the house. If you can swing it, get an external [LCD] monitor for home also. As with any computer, budget for an external hard drive for backing up. If you have to have Windows, go somewhere with good, local support like the Geek Squad at Best Buy. I bought two laptops with extended warranties there. Man, am I glad I did. The Compaq (2 yrs old) is always screwed up and the Sony (4 yrs old) bit the big one once. Plus you get a new battery for free every year, need it or not. All the Windows machines I’ve had since 3.1 required constant vigilance and maintenance and periodic OS reloading. If you really want a good experience, go Mac! Apple developes both hardware and software to work well together. Whatever you decide, get max RAM and 80 – 120 GB hard drive (minimum). Good luck!

I received a Compaq Presariop C303NR for Christmas last year, and it works well for me. Under the circumstances, I don’t kmow the exact price, but would best guess it at around $ 1000-1200.

I have had good luck with 2 Dell computers. You need to buy from them, or one of the major manufacturers that sell online. Anything you get over the counter from the big box stores will be far less state of the art hardware for more money! Dell has recently improved thier customer support by moving most of it to Manila, Philippines and out of India!
