Just to be sure you know about and are doing certain things:
If you burn your photos (or anything else) to CDs, they are still on the computer after you have burned them and need to be deleted if you don’t want them there anymore.
If you copy files to another disk by various other methods, you usually end up with a copy on both disks. Sendto will do that, and so will left click and drag. To move them, you must right-click on the selected file(s) and drag them to their destination, then choose “Move” from the menu that pops up or use “cut and paste”.
There is a difference between delete and uninstall. Delete is for files and uninstall is for programs. Your games will be programs so must be uninstalled.
Deleting means selecting the file and choose the delete command. Uninstalling means using uninstall from the program’s menu on your Start – Programs menu or using Add/Remove in the Control Panel.
If you have deleted instead of uninstalled programs, you need to run a registry cleaner to fix up the problems that will be in your registry. An excellent and safe one is Ccleaner which you can get a copy of from here:
When you have checked all of those things, if you haven’t run a defrag, that’s the next step. However, you are supposed to have 15% of your harddrive free to do that so you might want to look for a non-Windows one that might do the job. Try here:
