Congratulations. the major programs it comes with is iLife. It will help you make awesome websites, music, film and photo editing and cataloging, music and allow you to mix everything things because it’s fully integrated.
With respect to an office suite, depending on what you needs it for, you can purchase Word 2008 or iWorks, open office or even purchase/add XP Pro (before 6/30/08) if your Mac has an intel processor and have the best of the two best OS’s than add Office 2007. What ever you want.
Set up your webcam, iChat and go to town-you will find yourself enjoying you applications a lot more and not any time with your OS. That a lone will save you a to of time not checking and resetting your applications, and with everything so integrated, all applications speak to one another. 2-3 steps max as opposed to 5-6 for a PC.
You have $ 200 of free software. You have your own personal multi-media center. I don’t know why, but for some reason PC users before you buy a Mac tell you not to and then every time you see them, many are asking you how you like it and want you to show them stuff you have in it. I’m a life time PC user and just switched to a Mac. After struggling with Vista, I enjoy the change. In my view, I see no rivalry. I save a o lot of money getting an Apple and it works great with my iPod.
You will be 90 days free service to ask the Apple folks anything. They are all Americans and speak perfect englsh and spend as much time with you as you need nd will answer all your questions.
