iPad, the price is higher because it can do more than the other tablets.

If you have a nice amount to spend on a device for daily entertainment and useful purposes then iPad is definitely the best option. BUT if the price is making you think twice then Kindle Fire HD would definitely be the better option.
Kindle Fire HD is not an iPad killer though but it does have really nice features and comes pretty close to what an iPad can do but in a way cheaper price.
My recommendation would be Kindle Fire HD for sure unless you need the extra camera or apps from apple app store only.
If you are gonna watch a lots of movies, play lots of games then 32Gb would be preferable otherwise the 16Gb with free cloud storage would be enough for you on Kindle Fire.

Absolutely iPad. But this comparison is insignificance. iPad is much more expenesive than Kindle Fire.
