  7. Your answer is yes and yes. I can’t speak for the Nook, but it probably does work like the Kindle. WHen you purchase a title from Amazon, you “own” that title. You can put in on your Kindle or on another device and access it with a Kindle reading app (free). Once you put it on your Kindle, it is resident in your device, just like any file on a hard drive. If you remove it from your Kindle, Amazon has a record of your purchase and you can reload it onto your Kindle at any time from the cloud.

I’m not sure about the compatibility between the two devices – I know they use differing file formats, but there are many file format conversion programs that can convert files of one type to another. So you won’t be able to access B&N purchased items or put them directly onto a new Kindle. I believe the primary file type for most non-Kindle devices is epub, while the Kindle standard format is mobi. I have an epub to mobi converter and haven’t had any problems converting and reading epub files on my Kindle.

If you lose your Kindle or buy a new one, you can re-download anything you have already purchased from Amazon to your new device, once you have registered it and linked it to your account.

  8. For Amazon Kindle, all your ebooks are stored in the cloud (on Amazon servers)
You can access your Kindle library here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/digital/fiona/manage?ie=UTF8&tag=basebal-20&ref_=gno_yam_myk&signInRedirect=1&#All

For B&N Nook HD, you can permanently delete ebook, periodical, or app forever. However, you can also ‘Move to NOOK Cloud’ to keep copy of your content in your account in the NOOK Cloud and re-download anytime
    See Q7 in ‘Library’ http://www.barnesandnoble.com/u/support-nook-hd/379003759/
You can access B&N content on Amazon Kindle and vice versa, by just logging into your account and downloading content

There are reports that B&N is planning to Exit Nook tablet production

Therefore, it’s best to forego Nook and go Amazon Kindle

  9. On Kindle Paperwhite. Amazon offers free cloud storage. So all your books are safe whenever you need them again to download.

    No you cant access B&N.

Yes B&N is pretty unstable and it just let go its tablet by disowning them.

I also suggest you take a look at this review on Kindle vs Nook – Detailed comparison:

    You are welcome!

  10. If you Amazon Cloud for Kindle server that can access things to stored on B & N just go for Amazon Cloud Hosting server with Cloudways

  11. Sort of. Both Amazon and B&N have records of your purchases. If you deregister (you can do this on the device or on the company’s website) your device and register a new one, all of your purchases will be available for download.

Get a Kindle. Stay away from the Nook.
