  3. You are possibly infected with a Remote Assistance Tool (Acronym is RAT)

Scan your computer with an antivirus and get a firewall, also turn off Remote Connections.

    Antivirus:
    Avira
    BitDefender
    Kapersky
    Avast

    Firewall:
    COMODO Firewall

Just be warned, some RATS are FUD (Acronym for Fully Un-Detectable) or UD (Acronym for Undetectable) and they can be hard to get rid of. They are usually encrypted by hackers or skids (What hackers called Script Kiddies, they are people who do not know how to program or hack and only use programs to “Hack”)

Just follow those instructions and search how to get rid of a FUD RAT or how to get rid of a RAT

Meet the men who spy on women through their webcams.
    The Remote Administration Tool is the revolver of the Internet’s Wild West;

“… only minimal technical skill is now required to deploy a RAT and acquire slaves. Once infected, all the common RAT software provides a control panel view in which one can see all current slaves, their locations, and the status of their machines. With a few clicks, the operator can start watching the screen or webcam of any slave currently online.”

The “on” light for webcams may be controlled by software, not hardware; and as such can be disabled.
One fail-safe method is to cover the lens.
Use a plain “Band-Aid” (no kidding), positioned so the soft fiber pad is over the lens. This reduces scratching.
On the extreme end of one half, fold a 1/2″ section back on itself (sticky to sticky) which creates a “pull tab” so you can un-mask the lens when you want it. Secure the other end on the other side of the lens.

  5. for now, post- it cover the webcam.
There are all kinds of flash vulnerabilities, etc. that people can take advantage of, and that is just the tip of the iceberg in a sense… Nice that peeping toms went high tech, eh?
Honestly, RATS are hard to deal with even if you are a bit of a geek like I am..
My best recc.? If you have an external hard drive of any kind (USB, flash, whatever) go ahead and back up everything you want to keep (music, vids, games, pics, shows, etc.)
Write down a list of programs you want to re-install, etc.
    and factory (hard) reset.
If you don’t have an external hd source, put stuff on a free cloud resource for now.. use multiple accounts if you have to..
look up your computer brand + model + factory restore.
Severe, but better than being afraid of your computer..
