only if you read allot otherwise there is no point and even if you do read allot it depends if you think you would like reading from an ereader or not. i personally like books so don’t have one. However if you travel allot or have a few books going at the same time then one could be handy. depends what you need it for but don’t just get it for the sake of having one. I’m sure you can find more useful things to wish for

It is not a waste of money if you like to read a lot or are planning to read in future also then its a nice investment IMO.
It has nice features for reading like:
– Over million book titles on Amazon
– 8 weeks battery backup
– Built-in Light
– Time to Read feature uses your reading speed to let you know when you’ll finish your chapter
– More amount of pixel for brilliant resolution compared to previous model
– eInk screen provides reading without glare
– Amazon prime membership which allows you to get books at the best offer
– 180,000 Kindle-exclusive titles
– Hand-tuned fonts – 6 font styles, 8 adjustable sizes
– Better contrast for sharp and dark text
– Storage capacity for over 1100 books
