The Ipad is not a full computer. You should compare it with other tablets out there. There are a few that are much better than the ipad.

no the ipad is very limited on what it can do, you cant upload and download file like a computer it has no office suite apple can block sites and remove files and apps they dont like you to know about plus you have to sign up for a phone plan

I got it instead of a computer and don’t regret it! I’m using it right now! It’s very powerful. You don’t have Microsoft Word though, since it’s Apple, you have Pages(word), Keynote(powerpoint), and Numbers(excel). They’re all $ 9.99 in the App Store. Although wait a little bit for it because it’ll probably get better in a few months!

No, it doesn’t use “flash” as it is too unstable Apple and adobe are having a row about it.
It isn’t a notebook computer, it is an ipad. Think of it more as an “internet device” than a computer. It is for surfing, social networking, looking at pictures and reading books. I think it would not be the best choice for wordprocessing of gaming.

Yes mostly but it really depends on what you want to do wit it. It’s fine with the internet however doesn’t have flash so stuff like youtube videos and stuff won’t work and games (like sims and other computer games) won’t work well either if at all. However, If you just want to browse the internett and use facebook and stuff, The Ipad would be good. Personally i would never have one because you can get decent laptops with flash for much cheaper.

No. The Ipad doesn’t run OS X. It uses the Iphone OS and therefore can only run apps.
So unless you want an expensive toy or a paperweight. Don’t get the Ipad.

Abc streams all their TV shows in high quality. CBS also does the same.TV.com,NBC and many more works flawlessly on iPad. You can watch full length movies online and full episodes of all tv shows.
iPad has Mac iWork which is totally compatible to MS Office which means you can easily create Word document,Spreadsheet and PowerPoint presentation. It can be directly connected to projector to show your presentation. It can upload your work to iWork.com,GoogleDoc and all other WebDAV server in fraction of seconds which is not possible for even the best PC.
Technology is changing and every device is getting sleeker and cloud storage is future so you don’t need huge disk space on the device. iPad support that technology. You can seamlessly access your online storage and move files back and forth.

NO, don’t get the iPad as a computer, you will be very disappointed. First of all, its missing a lot of stuff a computer would have, like a CD drive, web cam and you can’t download stuff from the internet. The iPads on screen keyboard is hard to right on and you always make mistakes.

Ipad is a Tablet PC. Tablet PC’s have been out for years now, but there is so much of a thing with buying Apple products right now. They can sell Icandy right now and people would swear that it is better and sweeter than Belgian chocolate.
The funny thing is that it was already realized that tablet pc’s cant do much and you really can’t put faster chips in it do to heat. (the faster, the hotter)
HP slate will come out soon to compete it’ll be cheaper, but it is still a toy like ipad.
This is the real problem. Our computer hardware has advanced so much that the software is long behind in catching up. Besides extreme gamers and power laptop users, most people do not have the need to buy new computers since their software already works well with what they have.
Apple computers and PC’s are using the same hardware (apples even have ‘Intel Inside’). This is why, when you see commercials, they compare Windows to Apples operating system and do not mention the hardware.
(ps all computers can get a virus. It’s just that pcs are more popular than apples, so there is more of a chance that the virus writer has a pc)
PC companies and Apple have to come out with other things to make up in the lag in computer sales. You cant blame them, its brilliant. People are waiting on lines to buy technology that was out years ago and is slow and useless by todays standards.
