No you don’t have to use a credit card, just one thing to remember the first link on every movie is called solarmovie which is paid so don’t go there unless you want t buy the premium membership to watch all movies in HD. The rest depends on the link you click so if it doesn’t work try another one.but there is no sign up needed or credit card except for the premium membership

Yes they can but you can usually tell and I would say get a free protection ware because most of them will put check mark beside the site saying if its safe or not.
