if you play for long enough you will see some CQC where you dance with the enemy, and you will randomly survive some brutality, i once played for 2 hours, was bombed, grenaded, and shot twice and still limping along. but yea OHK from range is the norm.

I’d say that it’s hard for players to stick together in a tactical squad level is that the terrain makes that difficult. You’re usually looking to hide in bushes rather than get into cover, since the terrain is quite flat. There’s no gullies or rocky outcrops and so your job is to move toward town or the fb quickly and quietly, which is better done solo.
There are times you work together, for example capturing goes quicker with more people, and the game is fantastic when this happens.

Physics isnt broken, but it depends what your looking for.
Arma isnt as “team realtED” nor is it a true MMO, but good for modern sim fans. WW2OL is unmatched for a world war 2 genre.

Day one Mac player since 2002 (yes, it is on Mac) this game does have a few glaring flaws, however the FUNDAMENTAL game play is still solid. I have played CoD, MoH, Halo and a few others, but I get bored of those in a few days, even hours of play, I keep coming back to this. Recently got into War Thunder, but it is easy for me to stop playing that one. WW2 Online I cant. I go in for a “quick” battle, and a few hours later still at it.
