I have a question about storing your private key. If you lose it (i.e. your
local machine is stolen) what is the procedure to reestablish access to
your Amazon server? What is the best practice for dealing with this
scenario?

Very good video, I might missed something. But can I ask you, what’s the
best aws for huge scale websites running on php, mysql and a bit of js.?
And we are talking about 100 to 1000+ online users daily.

Does the AMI choice matter regarding OS type? Ex: Can I choose the linux
AMI if my machine is running Windows?

Great video, been looking for one like this for a while. I tried setting up
CloudWatch alarm though, and it looks like the admin no longer looks/works
like it does in the video though.

I wanted to know how to use AWS as a simple user of the net. This video was
far more advanced than I expected. Probably won’t be using Amazon’s AWS
after this.

In the video you showed how to upload and view an image. I have followed
the same steps but for a video. When a visitor clicks on the link for the
video, it only downloads. How can I get the video to play?
For anyone interested in learning more about Amazon Web Services (AWS, a
common and free-for-the-first-year way of setting up a web presence), they
recently had a webcast (http://youtu.be/-xVyuLJZFYc), and a PDF (
http://www.slideshare.net/AmazonWebServices/learning-series-getting-started-no-notes)
about how their services work. You can also check out all the free options
they have here (http://bit.ly/getstartedfree)

Hi Adam,
Thanks for a great video.
The following quote from the video seems to be incorrect.
“Detailed screen shots of this process are available in the version of this
presentation that is posted on the internet in the AWS slideshare location
located at http://www.slideshare.net/AmazonWebServices”
If I’ve got the right slideshare, at
http://www.slideshare.net/AmazonWebServices/learning-series-getting-started-no-notes,
there are no such detailed screen shots.
It’d be great if you could add them.
thnx.. you forgot to blure the phone number once.
