  2. I Used Screen cast o matic?

  3. Thx

  4. What do u use to record?

  5. 16 GB is the max right now on the newest motherboards I think, while running on a 64-bit operating system.

But that amount of memory is useless unless you are using 3D modeling programs.

  6. I think the best processor in the world is i7 processor. I have herd about motherboards that can attach two processors.
The best ram in the world is 8GB (DDR3). But every types of rams can’t be connected to any type of motherboard. according to your motherboard number, it is changing.

  7. Memory- 4 sticks of DDR3 3GB quad channel ( a total of 12GB). XP does not recognize anything past 3.4gb. and for games anything over 4 is useless. Only reason to have a lot is if you are doing 3d graphics.

Processor- Intel i7 or i5 is nice, get the cheapest one “2.66GHz” . Nothing can utilize more then 74% of it. And get Intel i9 if you are willing to wait a few more months.

Video cards are the only real component that matters anymore for gaming, as in you need a new one very often to keep up. In December i recommend getting the GTX3** series. It supports DX11, or it will in fact and it has the new 35nm architecture.

But all of this is very expencive, go to http://www.newegg.com and look these things up.

  8. Well, then Say hello to me because i am also using…Duel Core CPU 2.0 GHz and My motherboard can support till 4Gb only………..and my processor can be upgraded to Core 2 Due series only………….My computer is also 2years old………….

If still youn are not convinced then you can find out the details of your motherboard by downloading
    CPUZ

  9. Hey, don’t feel bad, my computers 10 years old, with a SINGLE core 1.0GHz processer, but it still runs basically everything without lag. Now, if i want to upgrade my processer (and you will need this to, i think) you will have to buy a new mother board, which also definatly means new ram, and if you are unlucky, a new video card.

Now, if you have millions of dollers and want to do this, the BEST processer out there is the Core i7 EXTREME 965, which needs triple channel ram and a top-of-the-line mother board. But that’s on the bleeding edge, and i don’t even think Bill Gates has this.

Now, answering your first question, the max any x34 bit OS can detect and use is 4GB, which is more than enough for everything nowdays. If you have a x64 however, you can have up to 124GB, but i don’t think any combonation of MB/RAM even comes close to that ammount.

  10. Unless your motherboard is junk, your dual core Intel E series cpu will address 4GB under 32 bit Windows. A 64 bit build will address 12 GB in dual channel mode. However, your question was, “What is the maximum amount of RAM you can have in a PC at this moment in time?”. The answer to that is in excess of 40 GB depending upon the setup. In a PC running Linux, the bios does not determine maximum memory. It is strictly a hardware issue. Mac OS X, which is a form of Debian Linux will use all of the memory you can throw at it. I have 32 GB in my 8 core Mac Pro. I have a Linux machine using a $ 75.00 motherboard, a 2.2ghz dual core & 16 GB ram. Gaming is phenomenal on this machine.
One last thing to remember: if you have a frame buffering AGP video card, especially a small one, your system RAM is going to take a huge hit. Fire up one of those online games, and open your system monitor. See how much FREE memory you have. You may need a vid card, and not more system memory. Cheers!
