Don’t waste your time and money jacking with those rip off scam’s. If you think there is an issue with your computer find someone that you know and trust to come look at it. And there are numerous antivirus programs out there available for free that work very well, i’ve used a lot of different things for free on the job.
Hey, thats another question you can post “what are some free anti virus software programs?” 😉
Just as not everyone is a mechanic so not everyone is a computer technician and for those people then these programs can be useful. Just as that other program for finding track titles and album art is useful for some people.
They are overpriced for what they are – especially when you can do the same thing for free and there is tons of free advice and help around. Personally, I wouldn’t get caught dead using a service like that – but then there are expensive car mechanics that people seem happy to use.

Listen to my story. I proved beyond doubt they don’t work, and this is how I did it.
When I got my new Computer, Win7, got it home, took it out of the box, set it all up and immediately ran of those programs before I did anything else, and guess what? it said I had over 500 “bugs” that needed to be cleaned up. hahaha. If I sent them $ 49 they would get rid of them. hahaha. Remember,I only had it up and running less than 15 min’s. I sent them an email telling them to go and get f*****, and never heard another word from them. The radio that you hear these things on are also scam’s because they know these “programs” don’t work. Be very very careful. Eric.

It depends.
A lot of people saying about how bad these programs are will take their car to a garage and get charged $ 40 for a simple oil change let alone do this to their car – http://brisray.com/v6gv/tcover1b.jpg and http://icehouseoffroad.com/hobaxle1c.jpg (yes, those are my cars)
