  1. dont rule out the samsung galaxy or other non-apple tablets. i have heard good things.

  2. Hi ♁, Kindle Fire and Nook Tablet are both Wi-Fi only devices and they cost half of Wi-Fi-only iPad. If you get 3G-enabled iPad it’ll cost you up to $ 900 plus monthly cost of 3G service – not many people can afford this for something than can break easily in one drop. iPad is a much better device that has a larger screen, two cameras, and over 500,000 apps/games in iTunes store. However, it is also much more expensive, heavier and less portable to take with you on the go. Kindle Fire is not a replacement as it is one underpowered device to be called a media tablet. Nook already has Cloud as all eBooks in your online library are stored there as well as downloaded to your device. Also, If you walk in with the Nook to Barnes & Noble store, you’re allowed to read ANY available eBook for free while in the store via free provided in the store Wi-Fi and you get free technical support in case of issues in any of the store.
It appears at this time that many Kindle Fire units have faulty Wi-Fi and people have a lot of issues connecting to internet according to many user reviews. Amazon’s own web site has hundreds (almost 1300 now) of reviews of Kindle Fire’s new owners that gave it 1 or 2 star reviews because of choppy/laggy experience they got from this underpowered device. All pro reviewers on the web clearly voiced that Nook Tablet is a much better device with superior performance compared to Kindle Fire. Nook Tablet that had been getting rave pro reviews on the web and it is the best device in it’s class. It’s got Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, Angry Brids, etc., the best battery life (30% better), the best non-glare laminated screen (vs. very reflective not laminated Fire screen), double the RAM and space for apps/photos/movies, microSD slot and a microphone for Skype (not on Kindle), physical volume controls on the side (not on Kindle), and much zippier performance during video playback and apps usage than choppy/laggy act of Kindle Fire according to many user and pro’s reviews.
You can buy Nook’s at Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Millon, Walmart, BestBuy, Staples, OfficeMax, Fred Mayer, P.C. Richard, Radio Shack, Target, Fry’s, Kmart, Sears etc. stores and web sites.
