I agree completely about Lizzie. I dont know if the acting, but I don’t
like the character .. I feel nothing for her .. The only thing that I like
is see her with Red because she is so important for him and is always nice
see him happy. Great review guys.

You don’t have empathy for Liz because the actress playing her is
lackluster. She’s the weakest link in this show. If Liz was being played by
a better actress, you’d care. I watch The Blacklist DESPITE Liz, not
because of her.
JanJandles November 3, 2014
The lack of empathy for me concerning Lizzie is that emotionless stare.
It’s the same blank stare all the time with her. It’s nearly impossible to
care about the character because she is so emotionless. She’s dying (steely
stare) she’s heartbroken ( steely stare) toughen her up when needed, but
goodness soften her up when needed.

This was another great review. However, what if Red is number 1 on the
blacklist. Also the preview says a past blacklist-er returns. I think
Berlin is a blacklist-er we’ve already seen..
Mike Blanchard November 3, 2014
he is her FATHER Julia!!! lol
Holistic Health & Living November 3, 2014
I don’t feel for Lizzy as well. I am not even sure exactly why. I feel more
for Red and understand his point of view.
Umar Soaries November 3, 2014
Side Note: When you go over the story points, Darth Vader never did lied
to Luke. It was Obe Wan who lied. I’m a kid whose never met his father,
then you tell me this big bad murdered my father but the big bad turns out
to be my father. I call you on it and you say, “Hey, I was speaking in
metaphors.” I would have shoved a light saber up Obe’s ghostly butt for
that one.
sabragirl1980 November 3, 2014
Sorry I still think Red is her father. BTW saying that Red has never “lied”
to Lizzie is a bit disingenuous in that Red has not told her the entire
truth at any time. He doles out the truth one nugget at a time. And I too
have zero empathy for the character of Lizzie and that is totally due to
Megan Boone’s abilities as an actress. She is stilted, emotionless and icy
in demeanor and does not give the viewer any reason to care about her
character.
danette stoneking November 3, 2014
I also feel the same the same way about Liz. It’s the same thing expecting
a different result. She trust Red then something happens to shake her up,
then she tells Red off.
babygiirl1920 November 3, 2014
thanks for the shout out!!
I'm Clueless November 3, 2014
i like Lizzie..I feel for her and I just think Red is kinda playing head
games with her. Why did he kill the man who raised her?? He has something
to tell Lizzie about Red..so what’s up with that? I do wish they did more
with the other characters. It seems to me that they are just filling
space….
Jess White November 3, 2014
I feel for Liz. She FRUSTRATES me to no end, but I still care about her. I
think Megan is a solid actress, but the material hasn’t been great and I
think even she can tell her character is in a rut.
Merima Tropoja November 3, 2014
Great breakdown, I do Think he has lied to her no matter what he says, I
still belive Red is Lizzy’s father and that he gave her away to protect her
from his Life. I do feel for her Lizzy but I mostly feel for Red.
Terri Pitnick November 3, 2014
The scene when we first see The Alliance, the way it’s shot, who makes it
up & even the dialogue reminds me very much of the secret group on the
X-Files – minus the aliens.
Go Julia! We know Red has been using Lizzie and the FBI to find
Blacklisters who are connected to or hired by Berlin. As dangerous as
Berlin is, do you think Red would bring him that close to Lizzie if she was
his daughter?? Hmmmm.
If the Blacklister coming in is Berlin and Tom works for Berlin, I don’t
see Red or Lizzie working with Tom…..
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Thanks guys!
ComplenaSera November 3, 2014
Also, with Ressler… eww. The dude just saw saw his pregnant girlfriend
gunned down in the street how many weeks ago? Is he even stable? And Liz
is a total basket case. That would make no sense to me if they went
there. I don’t see much chemistry there. Honestly, I see more chemistry
with computer guy Aram, he seems to be crushing on Liz.
babygiirl1920 November 3, 2014
doesn’t Tom work for the blacklister that is coming next week?
Franco Setroc November 3, 2014
To the group of 4 could you all do an AfterBuzz TV for Person of Interest?
I think youtubers such as myself would like to see this show reviewed by
your Group.
SuperOctober71 November 3, 2014
I agree with Joe S…it does get very tiring when Lizzie asks Red a
question that is relevant to her life and he is evasive or outright refuses
to answer and she expresses annoyance and just walks away. If Red refuses
to answer her questions then Lizzie should find out the answers on her
own. I hope that the connection that exist between Red and Lizzie is
really good that will totally shock the viewers by the way they are
stretching it out. I still believe that he is her father.
Katarina Ernö November 3, 2014
I agree with you all about Lizzie, I don’t feel as much for her I should be
(her being the female lead) Great podcast! :)
Joseph Ortiz November 3, 2014
Love the reviews, been with you from the start. Music idea – play Ridin
Dirty for the blacklister. There is no song for Flyin Dirty.
Ashley Kearney November 3, 2014
Great review guys! I can’t wait for the Berlin episode!
william francis Collett November 3, 2014
this is a bit mean too Megan Boone. Maybe there is something wrong with me,
but I think she does what she has to do and like the FBI rookie she is,
she is dealing with a lot of emotion. I have sympathy for what she is going
through . . . I think you guys are a bit hard on her. Your talks are even
better with Joe back, but you guys give a lot to think about, thanks =)
koft2009 November 3, 2014
The show is so great, and it is so terrible that the actress they chose to
play Lizzie, is not strong enough to play against James Spader. Even when
she’s trying to be a badass, it doesn’t seem to work. And they can’t change
her because Red is only there, because of her.
