So what can be added from the cloud? almost unlimited amount of AI behavior
mechanics for our APUs to access as a library. That’s where the idea of
massive worlds keeps comes from. One thing I found interesting where I’ve
only seen mentioned once. Xbone’s broadband requirement speed to access
Live is extremely small like 1.5 megs minimum big. If highly compressed
date files could fit through such narrow bandwith and high speeds, there’s
no telling what could be calculated all at once before sent

I said GOW because it had a lot of moments that looked like I was directing
a movie. Ryse is a combination of GOW and Skyrim imo. Titanfall is good but
there’s a lot of moments I thought “Looks early’ish last gen gameplay with
some Battlefield and MGS combinations. Which is good for gameplay not
graphics. Imo which I hope you’d understand it’s my opinion not fact.

HHG is the truth nobody in the industry does what he does with so much
passion real talk.

I think Mark Cerny is more knowledgeable about this subject than you, no
offense. The fact remains that “The Cloud” won’t improve the GPU part of
the Xbox One.

False, you only need a 1.5 connection or better stop spreading false
information

Cloud Computing has potential years from now, but don’t expect the cloud to
do amazing things when it comes to visuals, or anything like that anytime
soon.
Max Bond September 18, 2014
Just so you know. Paid xblg does not do cross platform gaming. Example: ps3
can cross platform game and chat with both psvita and pc. Ps4 can cross
platform game and chat with pc. It’s now confirmed ps4 will cross platform
game and chat with ps3 gamers in dc universe online. These features are not
on xblg (paid service) but is on psn (free service). Plus if it’s true
psvita getting 4g that will allow games be played over a 4g network via
gaikai app? Thats another big plus for (gamers).
Max Bond September 18, 2014
So you can take it how you want. I post what I have found you are just
smoking on the hype pipe. You say “do I really believe that” are you
serious?. The way Microsoft has been this year with xbox one I take the
majority of what they say with a pinch of salt. You just ignore the truth
because you’re a fan of xbox. I like xbox also but I don’t believe the
hype. If you want to believe what Microsoft claim? Thats up to you.
Forever223344 September 18, 2014
The cloud can only work if entire level, stage, ect. is uploaded to a
server. You have to understand what a cloud server is to know what it can
do. So Cerny is right about the cloud. Also uploading and entire
environment is expensive so they are not using it for these purpose.
Jimmy Brown September 18, 2014

donofman September 18, 2014
Sonys cloud is not the same thing. They could eventually be used the same
if they really want to but they are tackling different things. The big
thing is MS network is already built. You just want to believe MS is
bullshitting you. The truth is all around you. This isnt even a good
comparison, its like comparing a Ferrari to a tank. I could explain it but
there is a lot to cover and you clearly dont care about the details and
reality.

But what if he’s wrong?
charvelgtrs September 18, 2014
Right now it doesn’t work well. Yes, things might change 5-10+ yrs down the
road, but I can promise you no Xbox One games in the first couple of years
are going to use the cloud to help boost graphical fidelity.
Max Bond September 18, 2014
“latency isn’t a problem unless you have a connection slower than 1.5 MBPS”
Well that depends what you’re using it for?. Titan fall is using azure for
dedicated servers. So if you’re talking about distributing work to the
cloud like physics and what not then no, no one is doing that right now as
it isn’t needed and yes latency is an issue as broadband speeds are not up
to it.
jasondracd September 18, 2014
Look the most any one can get out of any purposed graphical cloud computing
is mostly physics alone. you wont get improved texture resolutions, it wont
improve upfront frame rates and it wont improve graphic fidelity. What it
can do is calculate static material that’s not time sensitive. All 3
machines can do this, but MS’s is MASSIVE. So what could be passed onto the
cloud freeing up Xbone processes? Sound, Static lighting & canned
animations.
donofman September 18, 2014
Either you are fanboying out and keep self blinding or you just dont get
it. The thing about MS cloud is that it is part of the system accessing it
is just like working in the console they dont have to do anything special
or extra its just there. Its like another processor or more ram just
sitting there and the more they use it the more they’ll use it. Internet
speeds are fine, we use this already…it works there is no question of it
working.
therealbigrich September 18, 2014
I don’t know much about cloud gaming right now but I do feel like its
possible for them to do something in the future. I think that’s the point
that the x1 is trying to future proof there console. The biggest problem I
hear with cloud gaming is our current internet speed. I don’t know what’s
needed for it to work but I know the highest out now is 600 up and 100
down. Its also 300 a month but the way things are that speed might be the
norm in the future
donofman September 18, 2014
Easy answer is yes. Visuals are made with time and resources. DR3 uses the
cloud to seamlessly build its world and populate it with tons of zombies.
The game we see now is what time and resources could pull off. If the game
was created with out the cloud and did the same things the visuals would
have taken a hit because they would not have had the time to optimize the
game to look as good as it does now. So in that sense the cloud has boosted
the games visuals.
charvelgtrs September 18, 2014
So, you are telling me there will be games on the Xbox One that are
visually superior to the best looking PS4 games. Sorry, but I don’t think
this will be a reality.
donofman September 18, 2014
I dont mean to be a complete jerk, but some of your comments have such a
layer of clouded unbalanced judgement I cant pretend like I think you are
paying full attention and really following the information. Like when you
say no ONE game in the 1st couple years will use the cloud to boost
visuals. This means you havent factored in the Ps4 and ONE will be limited
by the game engines at least for that long. You are using very base line
method of reasoning leaving so many factors left out.

the legitimacy of Microsoft’s cloud computing capabilities in regards to
the xbox 1 is based off marc cerny’s statement and because Microsoft didnt
say anything in response means that its more evidence u said u did research
did u look for Microsofts statement or a theoretical analysis of what they
