hahahaha do you really think there will be 4k games on x1 even when they
struggle to run games at 1080p? don’t be ridiculous
Liam Fisher November 17, 2013
Yes there will
DeMoNiCTalent November 17, 2013
What makes you think the LARGEST… shall i repeat that? LARGEST, one more
time…. LARGEST, software company in the world can make cloud computing
work? Theres already games on the PC that use 100% cloud computing with
little errors. MS, has already had TONS of news articles on them improving
their servers, buying cloud companies, and investing in data farms… to
store more servers. sorry, your gullible if you think the largest software
company cant create a simple cloud that can compute.

xbox one is 4k for tvs coming not gaming
18T220 November 17, 2013
Yes for watching 4K video.
Courtlyodragon November 17, 2013
man the xbox one comes with a 4k hdmi cable
Cor Tadew November 17, 2013
even if xbox one supports 4k games there won’t be any games in 4k so useless
ExoticSpeedify November 17, 2013
Considering it took 4 gtx titans just to run metro last light at 4k on a pc
and highest settings. Aparently.
ttwiitch Yu November 17, 2013
urrrg; wrong, no 4K gaming for Xbox 180…sorry, come again 🙂
IndyB25 November 17, 2013
“fuck you xbox fanboy” See, that’s house stupid you sound. I honestly think
they are stretching the truth, but I really don’t care if they are or not.
It really never seems to impress me how much both console fans argue.
Dragonbait November 17, 2013
There won’t be any 4k games on XBO. XBO (and PS4) have a tiny fraction of
the processing power required.
Dragonbait November 17, 2013
There will never be a 22″ 4k monitor, it’s completly pointless because you
won’t see any difference over current resolutions at that size. You will
definately see more and cheaper 40″+ TV’s etc! The XBO/PS4 will never have
4k games and will never be able to support 4k 60hz due to limitations of
HDMI 1.4.
18T220 November 17, 2013
Astrodesign made a 9” 4K screen and IBM made a 22” 4K screen. So saying
there will never be a 22” 4K monitor isn’t true. 4K screens will be made
for 4K video and PC’s will be able to play game at 4K at 30hz initially but
I would bet Asus, LG, Samsung, Dell and BenQ will have 60hz & 120hz 4K
monitors in the future.
AlphaGeneral November 17, 2013
Yep, 4K Movies for PS and 4K movies & Games for X1. Hope that helps 🙂
ttwiitch Yu November 17, 2013
4K playback for movies turd, not gaming.
Otto von Chesterfield, Esquire November 17, 2013
I’m sorry but if you are playing BF3 at 4k on a 30 inch monitor 2 feet from
your face then your an idiot. Not to mention 4k at a max of 30 hz? NTY
18T220 November 17, 2013
It’s still relatively new tech, in the coming years you will see 22” 4K
monitors at 60hz & 120hz.
DrunkPackyDriver November 17, 2013
no, both and only for movies also 4k isn’t that crazy. You gotta have a big
ass Tv to see a small difference
DrunkPackyDriver November 17, 2013
I simply don’t give a damn about 4k. It’s not such a big difference and you
need a really big Tv to see a small change
Michael Walsh November 17, 2013
(COMMENT CONTINUED) For the game to work developers would effectively need
special “cloud dev kits”, which would need two CPU’s (Xbone CPU and cloud
CPU), 2 GPU’s (Xbone GPU and cloud GPU) and 3 RAM pools (Xbone unified RAM,
cloud GPU RAM and cloud CPU RAM). This would cost too much and would be
even harder than the Cell was which would only be taken advantage of by 1st
part devs with a lot of money from M$. Also you would need at least 50MB
internet speed and would take time to load.
Michael Walsh November 18, 2013
I’m not a genius but know quite a bit about PC specs and rendering tech but
for one know this cloud gaming M$ is claiming will never work anyway. For a
start it will be a lot more complicated to code for than even the Cell was,
Xbone has ESRAM to try an level the bandwidth against the PS4 which is
another hurdle in development, also the fact that cloud compatible games
would have the other half of the game coded for Azure servers which are do
not have unified memory.
donofman November 18, 2013
You over complicate the process, devs could create there own virtual
machines that could just assist with specific things they want or I’m sure
MS has given them tools to start with. And the ONE has 4 move engines with
2 of them being designed for processing cloud data. They are not tied down
in the system and can move data around to all the different parts of the
system at the same time as the GPU. MS X1 design is extremely smart, and
the internet speed are plenty for now.
jeremihraiden November 18, 2013
So at what Internet speed is needed to run the cloud smoothly? Last I check
the average Internet speed in American homes is bout 5 MBS…
donofman November 18, 2013
You clearly dont get it. MS cloud is more like server side scripting on the
internet than running data through hardware. You are actually wrong on
quite a few things 1) MS eSram set up is very close to the 360s design so
it wont be that big of a hurdle for devs, they have been doing it for like
8yrs. 2) The cloud is versatile devs can use it as much or as little as
they want, so saying half the game needs to be coded for Azure is wrong &
the server HW doesnt really matter its software based.
MaX November 18, 2013
Since you’ll be downloading lots of movies, music, books & games, go with 32GB model
Kevin November 18, 2013
Hi.
In 16Gb you have around 13.5Gb storage space and can download around 7 movies (5Gb), 50 apps (2Gb), 500 songs (3-4Gb) and rest you can use for misc activities. Obviously you wont keep all movies all the time. So you can even download around 10 shows in the left over space.
In 32Gb. Everything is doubled.
IMO go for the 16Gb if your usage is that much only. Keep in mind if you play heavy games then you need around 400Mb – 2Gb for one game. So that case would be different and then I would recommend the 32Gb version.
You also have the free Amazon cloud storage of around 5Gb so space wont be an issue anyway.
Streaming video won’t cost you memory, but downloading sure will.
If you plan on downloading lots of video, get the 32gb version. Otherwise the 16gb version will do you just fine for books, games and music.
September is the time frame when Amazon has historically announced their yearly upgrades to the Kindle line. With product becoming available in October and November.
This year, the rumor is that the Kindle HD will get an even higher definition screen (unneeded in my opinion as the screen is very crisp now) and a rear facing camera for taking pics.
Only you can decide if those things matter enough to delay purchasing.
ALL Clear November 18, 2013
If you watch streaming videos (download when you play the video, the tablet needs to be connected to the internet), it won’t take space on your tablet. But if you want to watch downloaded videos when you’re not connected to the internet (e.g. watch it when you’re on travel), then it takes quite a lot of space and you better go for 32GB.
If you’re in the UK, you can read a good actual user review here, mentioning something about memory size and some other features of the Kindle HD:
just don’t worry about it.
