Many people that have this much drive space use it for media. High definition movies that aren’t pirated can take up a lot of space. That, coupled with a large music collection as well as the normal programs could take up a lot of space. There are special cases where the computer user uses certain programs that demand large disk space. Video editors deal with a lot of raw footage and would need it all available on the computer at once. Games also take up a lot of space and demand quite a bit of free space to initially install. Pictures aren’t too big, but if you have your entire photo collection on your drive it could be quite large. Not everyone trusts the cloud, or they choose not to utilize cloud storage. They may also use the hard drive space for backups or certain files.
