  1. AVG, Avast or Avira. I can help lots with PC stuff if you have any more questions you should ask me here http://www.mypcmates.com

  2. avira or panda antivirus free use only one both are very good and free get at cnet.com

  3. free avg and spybot search and destroy.

  4. (You should have posted this BEFORE your antivirus ran out because at this moment you’re vulnerable.) >.>;;
    Anyways… I like Avira because it has a relatively small file size and doesn’t tell me to scan or do something else every friggin day (like Norton did for me) and it’s free and works a lot better than Norton ever did. It has occasional pop-ups that tell you to buy the “29 yatta, yatta” dollar stuff but I just exit those. So it’s better than Norton but, I know that you can probably find better out there.

  6. !!!!!! Take it from me, AVG is the best. Don’t buy it straight from their website or you’ll get ripped off (70 bucks for 2 yr, don’t think so).

    Instead buy it from eBay, they have it for $ 20 buckaroos.

    I’ve used AVG for over 4 years and they catch everything, I don’t remember once a virus bypassing AVG.

    PS: A rule of thumb, always download the file to a folder and DON’T OPEN it until you’ve scanned it. This is the safest way to download in my opinion.

  7. AVG

  8. From my experience I would give thumbs up to Kaspersky

  9. The best anti-virus is Kaspersky or Norton but they are not free. Kaspersky does offer a free online scan but it doesn’t remove what it finds. Second best free are Avast and AVG and others. The Microsoft firewall that comes free with XP and Vista is quite good but unfortunately provides no visibility. If you need visibility, try the free Zone Alarm. Zone Alarm is very good but it is difficult for me to say it is the best. The best firewalls are not free. You have phishing filters in Firefox 3 and IE 7 and IE 8 (Smart Screen Filter) and AVG. It’s strictly a question of how often the phishing filter database gets updated with accurate information. It’s tough to say which is best.
