Microsoft Security Essentials is the best at this moment. It is FREE and Microsoft has invested a lot of money into it so they will keep it updated all the time. I would suggest you stick with it.

I recommend you to use Bitdefender Antivirus which includes an anti-phishing engine, a vulnerability scanner, offers privacy control, chat encryption and real time protection against known and unknown viruses and spyware.
Note: If you use more than one secondary antivirus program, make sure you’re only running one at a time. If these programs ever ask you if you would like to turn on active protection, as many of them will do, click “No.”
