Start menu software makes Windows 8 an almost straight upgrade to 7.

Or as I prefer to put it: “Offers a more secure, more efficient and more
reliable Windows upgrade with a blazing fast boot time.”

Is there anyway to get metro back?

The point people have made about windows 8 being a pain to use is that you
have to install another program right off the bat to make it usable. The
start screen is intended to be used on a touchscreen. That’s fine for new
laptops & tablets. They have touchscreens, but most desktops still don’t
making windows 8 difficult to use on them without installing programs to
get back what Microsoft ripped out. Windows vista & 7 were fine. Microsoft
should’ve left them alone. Win phone is boring too.

Thanks for this video, I was about to install win7 on my new pc but I’m
going to give win8 a go now using classic shell.

Yeah. Most people hating on it have hardly ever used it and can’t get over
how you don’t ever have to look at the Metro screen if you don’t want to,
or can’t get over it being there at all like a friend of mine who condemns
it for that alone. About six months ago I hated on it as well because I
thought Metro was the replacement for the desktop, when I found out desktop
mode is just windows 7 upgraded I was fine with it. If they ever make Metro
the norm, now that is a reason to complain.
