tips from people who’ve created their own online radio stations.

  3. How would I go about getting a DAB licence?

  4. Another great Hangout this evening! Thank you to all who took part.

  5. Thanks for the message. I would encourage you to get started by recording
your own podcast or radio show. It’s pretty easy to set something up online
and build an audience. Let me know how you get on!

  6. BlurFM.com, pop, rock and indie music 24 hours a day. Thanks for sharing
your thoughts!! I’ll catch on with your channel, is really really
    interesting!

  7. Spreaker.com is not bad. Reasonable prices and you get alot of hours of
    broadcast time.

  8. Cheers, appreciate that!

  9. Sounds like a really good plan. I’ve heard that Centova Cast comes highly
    recommended from many.

  10. Love it, thanks for sharing!

  11. Watch the best bits 😉

  12. hey Mike! what mic, shockmount and pop filter are you using?

  13. This is a really good video, I will be in touch for I am starting from the
beginning. Its interesting you mention niche because although I want to
include music. Im going in the direction of life on life terms.

  14. Sure, drop me a line via Music Radio Creative if you’d be interested to
    join a future hangout.

  15. Also the main upside for icecast is that when you have an autodj connected
you dont have to shutdown the server to get the server able to take Live
streams. actually icecast can take many different connected sources at the
same time. With the usage of Fallback mounts it makes things more seamless.
    How i have mine autodj

  16. I like the open source idea of Icecast and am also interested in Airtime.

  17. You can make beats using software like Cubase, FL Studio, Reason etc.
sometimes in Garageband too. A mixer can be used to mix multiple sources
such as vocals, music, sound effects etc. however you can do most mixing
    inside a DAW.

  18. Yes, there were many Mikes on the hangout 🙂

  19. Thanks for all the comments. I value them.

  20. Hey Mike. Just saw your video. We are just about ready to bring everything
together with our new Country Station in Texas. Can I ask you what is the
best automation software to use for internet radio but would also allow me
to go live. I would prefer a free one if available, but if I have to pay
for one I can. But as you know our budget on start up is very small. Please
    let me know. Thanks DJHK,

  21. Not sure what the ‘Reddit’ comments mean?

  22. Thanks for the comment and question. I did much research myself and speak
about it on episode 17 of the Music Radio Creative podcast. Hope it helps
    you too!

  23. Thanks and I appreciate the subscribe!

  24. Airtime pro just updated. They have Smart Playlists and web rebroadcasting.
Im able to use airtime 2.2 now. I wasnt able to use it so much before
because it didnt have random smartplaylists. may want to look into it again
    🙂

  25. I’d loved to set up a radio station I have the gear I just don’t hav the
    software and website

  26. Hi there, sorry to hear about your situation. The behavhior you describe that your computer is exhibiting is suspicious. I hate to say it but you probably have some kind of infection. I cannot tell you what it is. It could be a virus, a worm, a trojan horse, and or malware/spyware.

However I can help you try to find out what is going on and if your computer is infected or not. Do you have an antivirus program? If you do your Antivirus company probably offers support for free because you purchased their software so try contacting them.

When an infection is suspected you want to scan the system but if you just scan it with your antivirus software it could miss the infection because it might be hiding which infections do well or it might disguise itself by using a valid system file name and then if you delete that the computer will have problems.

So the best course of action is to use two or more online scans because different services may pick up what your antivirus does not.

So here is what I would reccommend, although it will be very time consuming and unfortanately there is no 100% guarantee that you will find an infection if you have one but multiple online scans will usually pick it up. Do these scans one by one, not at the same time.

Here are the websites I would reccommend:
    1. http://safety.live.com
    Run a full scan

    2. http://www.microsoft.com
Go to Downloads, Download center and run an install the Malicious Software Removal tool and run a full scan.

    3. http://www.malwarebytes.org
Download and install this excellent anti spyware anti malware program. Update and run a full scan.

    4. http://www.mccaffe.com
    follow the instructions below.

Hopefully this will be able to determine if your sytem is compromised.
    Sincerely,
    Kaja S.
