  1. Good luck with that wish. The more protection you want the more resources the programs take and the slower your computer runs. You have to balance your protection with common sense and safety practices while on the internet as well as using “borrowed” software or you will be just sitting and waiting while multiple scans are taking place.

You did not indicate whether you wanted to pay for programs or get them for free. That also makes a difference as to what is out there.

  2. i use Norton antivirus 2010. it getss everysingle virus out there and it updates autamaticly. while it isnt free, it sure is worth the price. plus it gives u internet sequirty, and u can scan ur computer with it. if you have the money, id buy that. if not there is a free antivirus called AVG. its not quite as good as norton, but it is free if your on a tight budget http://download.cnet.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10320142.html?part=dl-10044820&subj=dl&tag=button&cdlPid=11014801

  3. The program I have used for years is NOD32. You can download and use for a month free off the internet. They even have programs to clean your computer now. Search for NOD32 or ESET.

  4. For your Anti-Virus……I would suggest Avast 4.8, Avast now includes anti-virus, some anti-spyware capability and anti-rootkit components. And all for the low low price of free. You can get it here:
    http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

(Always use only 1 A-V…You must NEVER use more than one anti-virus, Even an expired anti-virus can cause a major conflict… did I mention that you MUST uninstall any and all, old anti-virus products?)

Avoid the anti-virus called AVG (free version). It is wildly popular with children and the computer illiterate but has historically had the lowest virus detection rate of all the popular free anti-virus programs.

And please be aware that NO anti-virus program can protect your computer anywhere near 100%. You still must be caucious and use common sense when on the internet. And keep your Windows and all your other installed softwares fully patched and updated with all critical updates.

And no, Norton does not “getss everysingle virus out there” as someone up above posted!

  5. if your are using geninue os then install microsoft secruity essentials.
if not use latest avg antivirus k

  7. I would suggest Avast Antivirus and Comodo Firewall. Both are free for non commercial use and both work really good (no infections for over one year)

  8. A real good virus program and it is free is AVG, thats the nice part and it works great!

Go to their website or to Cnet to download it.

    http://free.avg.com/us-en/homepage

    or

    http://download.cnet.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10320142.html

  9. Its all a matter of opinion. I use Avast , I have also got superantispyware and Malwarebytes. I recently changed to Comodo firewall which seems fine and I seem to boot up quicker. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans Hackers etc. I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps
