  1. Watch this video as it describes it better than I ever could. I personally prefer the nook. better battery and expandable memory makes it great. If however you are a amazon prime member, then i would go for the fire.

  2. As per features there are few things that you would find compelling in the kindle fire:

    – Amazon’s custom-built UI for Kindle Fire looks rather fetching. It is built on a later version of android

    – When it comes to eBooks, Kindle Store has the better prices.

    – Faster dual-core processor. Nook Color has a 800 Mhz single core processor while Kindle Fire has a dual core 1Ghz processor.

    – Light Weight – At just 14.6 ounces (413 grams) it’s lighter than Nook Color (442 grams) and considerably lighter than 10″ Tablets.

    – Cloud Storage. There is free Cloud Storage for all content you buy from Amazon.

    – More Compact – Kindle Fire is 7.5″ by 4.7″ by 0.45″ while Nook Color is 8.1″ by 5″ by 0.48″.

But there are certain things that the kindle fire doesn’t has but the nook color has:

    – Kindle fire has no microSD Card Slot but you are given the amazon cloud to store the content as mentioned above plus the 8Gb built-in space it has.

    – ePub Support by Default. Though now there are converters to change the ePub to kindle readable format.

    – The kindle fire lacks in the microphone.
